Welcome to the Eastport Arts Center Sketchbook Project!

The Eastport Arts Center is excited to announce a new project for artists of all levels. Each participant will receive an official sketchbook and a book of 25 prompts to inspire creativity. Over the course of 8 weeks, starting on February 3rd, experienced artists will host workshops to guide in their artistic journey. The project will culminate in an exhibition of completed sketchbooks, with an opening party on March 30th at the Eastport Arts Center. Join us for this exciting opportunity to explore your artistic potential!

Get Inspired

  • Can of Sardines

  • Draw some that in your pocketses (purse/backpack)

  • Camp

  • Fill a page with shapes then turn them into faces

  • Doodle Cats

  • Favorite Food

  • Do a drawing that looks sticky.

  • Fill a grid with different textures

  • Do a one line drawing.

  • Draw a cryptid (like Bigfoot or the loch news monster)

  • Do 1 minute figure drawings

  • Fill a page with random doodles

  • Do a blind contour drawing (draw an object without looking at the paper!)

  • Draw using only circles

  • Draw an egg.

  • Favorite animal

  • Illustrate a quote.

  • Create a collage page

  • Trace things from nature

  • Draw something wet.

  • Draw a hotdog….and then….just. keep. Adding. More. Detail.

  • Create an abstract landscape.

  • Draw with your left hand.

  • Draw with your right hand.

We had an incredible turnout for the first-ever Eastport Arts Center's Sketchbook Project! With over 100 students from 5 different schools and  17 community members—ranging from Eastport residents to enthusiastic participants tuning in from out of state—it was a success by any measure!
